The Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Quetta - Balochistan was established in the year 1972. There were 42 pioneer members who initially took part in the process. The business community of the province after going through a lot of hardship and difficulties for resolving their business disputes and settle their problems with various Government, Semi government and Private Institutions in the country and out side the country felt the need of a body to look after all these matters representing the business community. The chamber was registered with Director Trade Organization, Govr of Pakistan Islamabad under section 3 of the Trade Organization Ordinance, 1961 on 12th March 1973 With,of a Memorandum and Article of Association published and registered. The first election of the Chamber was convened and the first elected President was Mirza Muhammad Ibrahim Baloch. During this period efforts were made to construct a separate building for the Chamber. Former President of Pakistan General Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq, was approached and requested for allotment of a piece of land for the Chamber building, which he generously accepted and a piece of land on main Zarghoon Road, Quetta, was allotted for Chamber building During the construction of building the then President Mr. Kamal-ud-Din Ahmed and Senior Vice President Mr. Tahir Ahmad Khalifa approached the Government of Balochistan for some financial assistance. The then Governor Balochistan General Muhammad Musa and Secretary Finance Mr. Sr. R. Poonegar, accepting their request, granted a sum of rupees One Million for the construction of the Chamber building. The building was constructed and completed in the year 1989-90. The Chamber shifted in the new building and started its work in the year 1990.

Memorandum and Article of Chamber of Commerce and Industry Quetta Balochistan.

the name of association is CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

& INDUSTRY QUETTA (BALOCHISTAN). The jurisdiction of the Chamber shall extend to whole of the District of Quetta it has a minimum

of 150 members who are either permanently, domiciled in Quetta District or have a substantial business interset such as an industrial 

concern, a corporate business entity or being assessed for the purposes of income tax and sales tax in territorial jurisdiction of 

Chamber of Commerce & Industry Quetta.

the objects for which the Chamber is established are:-

to promote, develop, stimulate and protect the economic interest of Pakistan in general and of those engaged in industry, Trade, Commerce,

Minerals, Transport, Agriculture, Banking Insurance and shipping in particular.

to consider all questions connected with Trade, Industry, Minerals, Transport, Banking, Insurance,Agriculture, Manufacture, Sipping 

and Commerce And to initiate and or support necessary action connected therewith.

to collect and circulate statistics and other information relating to the commercial, Industrial Agricultural and financial interests 

of the businessmen and industrialists.
